Running a batch file from Linux to Windows using copSSH

 Hi all,

I'm trying to run a batch file from Linux to Windows using SSH. I've installed OpenSSH in Linux and copSSH in Windows. I've also placed the RSA public key in Windows authorized_key file.

I'm now able to perform bypassing of password using public key authentication. However, I would like to now run a batch file straight from Linux terminal.

Apparently I've tried issuing the following command,

ssh windowsUserName@ipaddress "C:/\/run.bat"

but the batch file on the windows machine didn't run. In fact, on the Linux terminal, it shows a fatal error in sshd.exe. Did I get the syntax wrong?

I've also tried ssh windowsUserName@ipaddress -s "C:/\/run.bat" but I presume that -s indicates a control path, and not exactly a command.

Would appreciate if anyone can help me out. Really need it.

Thanks in advance.

Running cwRsync using scheduled task (partial / partial dir) not working...(When idle)

Here is the problem.

I have multiple machines that are set to start rsync-client when the machine goes idle.

They do this quite well, and everything works as expected except using the --partial and --partial-dir options (which I could REALLY use).

I know why this is happening but I don't know how to get around it.

The computers are set to run rsync when they go idle, and the scheduled task is set to STOP when the machine is no longer idle.

The process starts up and starts running it's sync, but when the machine is no longer idle, windows kills the task (in a harsh way) for lack of better terms.
I DO want it to stop when not idle, and only run when the computer IS idle.

Rsync never gets to rename the "temp" files into "partial" files for reuse upon the next connection.

keys not working

Greetings all. I'm attempting to test a CopSSH install + a PuTTY/WinSCP client. I can log in via password just fine. The problem is trying to set up some RSA keys. I've tried the following two methods, both of which fail:

-use PuTTYGen to generate a pub/pvt key pair. Copy the pub key to the server/home/username/.ssh/authorized_keys file (actually just renamed the file after copying it there). Does not work.

-use the CopSSH option to generate keys for the user upon creation. Copy the private key to the client. Use PuTTYGen to convert the key file to a .ppk-compatible private key.

Nature of the failure: I get an error message dialog box on the client which states, "Server unexpectedly closed network connection. Authentication log (see session log for details): Using username "username". Authentication failed."

can v install openssh 5.0 or 5.1 on windows

Can i install openssh 5.0 or 5.1 on windows. Plz let me know url if its present and installable.
